Place Steel Deck By Selecting a Shape Element

Complete a deck specification using the controls and settings on the Place Deck dialog.
Select Shape from the Place By: drop-down menu.
Click Place. The tool prompts you with Choose Boundary Shape.
Select a shape element.
The tool prompts you to Place first point to define Deck direction.

Tip: The shape must a closed polygon.
Enter a data point anywhere in the design space.
The tool now prompts you with Place the next point to accept.
Enter another data point in the direction in which you want the steel decking to be oriented. The deck is placed, and the Place Deck tool resumes ready to place another deck. You are prompted with Choose Boundary Shape.
Do one of the following:

Repeat steps 4 through 6 to place another deck.

or
Click Cancel to complete placing decks and close the Place Deck dialog.
